Gibbs 1/2" Spring Loaded Ascender

Gibbs ascenders are designed for optimal grip even in icy and muddy conditions. Due to its construction, they require two hands to place on the rope but this gives the added feature that the device can not come off the rope unexpectedly. The #1 and #2 Gibbs are not intended for litter raising or for self-belay. The cam is cast and shell is aluminum. The ultimate breaking strength is 2550 lbs, but the ascender will cut a new 7/16" or 1/2" rope at 2000 lbs. Made in USA.
